As an artist I see my tastes as versatile, I like to experiment with different techniques and styles from abstract to figurative. Painting is an opening on an emotion and Art appeals to me when it is colourful, narrative, emotional, fun, dramatic, curious and decorative.
My inspiration comes from XVII century paintings until the present day styles especially the Baroque, Pre Raphaelites, pop art and surrealist movements. My goal is to create fresh, anachronistical and mysterious images which contain an emotion derived from the connections contained within the different elements comprising the image.

I use both oils and acrylics to give a feeling of depth to my images and work from photos and drawings that I make, sometimes with the insertion of characters and objects from classical paintings. These sampled images are modified and painted in a different, anachronistic and metaphorical context from which they were first used. My intention is to manipulate images from their context without diminishing their strength or emotional power.
